The Intel Anti-Theft feature is controlled through a combination of an agent on my PC (which I presume is now no longer present in the Norton Software) and the Intel Anti-Theft control section of the Norton website. Secondly, there is nothing to uninstall as such.
By renewing your subscription to Norton Anti-Theft, you will be accepting this change in Norton Anti-Theft features. However, you can be assured that even without Intel's technology, your Norton Anti-Theft protection still lets you lock your device in the event it is lost or stolen. Please note that Intel has chosen to discontinue its Intel Anti-Theft functionality, and will be stopping support of the feature in January 2015. Norton Anti-Theft works with the Intel® Anti-Theft service to provide multiple levels of protection, to secure your laptop with built-in hardware components. As a result, Symantec will no longer offer the Intel Anti-Theft functionality as part of the Norton Anti-Theft offering on the Norton Anti-Theft portal. Intel has announced its decision to end their security offerings and subsequently end-of-life its Intel Anti-Theft service which will be terminated by the end of January 2015.
